At M3U Checker ("we", "our", or "us"), we are committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of our users. This Privacy Policy outlines our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use the M3U Checker mobile application ("App") and diagnostic service.

1. Information We Process

M3U Checker is engineered with a strict privacy-first architecture:

• Ephemeral Diagnostic Scanning: When you input a playlist URL for testing, our service retrieves only the header structure and metadata tags (such as channel names, stream format, and HTTP response codes) strictly for the duration of the scan.
• No Media Content Stored or Hosted: M3U Checker is exclusively a syntax and network diagnostic utility. We do not store, host, cache, scrape, index, or stream audio or video media content.
• No Credential Logging: Authentication credentials, access keys, or private tokens contained within URLs are automatically sanitized in memory and are never persisted on remote servers.

2. Local Device Storage & User Control

All diagnostic scan history, saved URLs, and user preferences are stored strictly locally on your device using native encrypted storage (AsyncStorage). We do not synchronize your scan history to external servers. You can clear your scan history and cached data at any time directly in the app settings.

3. Advertising & Monetization Partners (AdMob)

To support ongoing development and server maintenance, this App may display non-intrusive advertisements served by Google AdMob. Google AdMob may use device identifiers and cookies to serve contextual advertisements in compliance with Google's Advertising Policies and GDPR/CCPA privacy frameworks.

4. Network Security & SSRF Protection

The app and its diagnostic engine enforce strict Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) and private IP filters. Connections targeting localhost, private subnets (e.g., 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16), or loopback addresses are blocked to protect network infrastructure.

5. Data Retention & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or distribute your personal data or submitted URLs to any third-party marketing brokers or data harvesters.
